US State Privacy Notice

This US State Privacy Notice supplements Baroow’s Global Privacy Policy and applies to United States residents. Baroow provides the baseline rights in this Notice nationwide, even where a state statute does not yet apply to Baroow because a threshold, exemption, or other condition has not been met.

Additional rights, definitions, response periods, regulator contacts, and appeal procedures apply where required by the resident’s state law.

Depending on the features used, Baroow may process identifiers, account details, listing content, messages, approximate or permitted precise location, device and usage data, job application data, property inquiries, support records, moderation records, and preference data.

United States financial, wallet, escrow, payout, and transaction data is not collected through those features while the features remain disabled. Baroow does not create proxy or public-source listings in the United States.

Categories, purposes, retention, recipients, and collection sources are described in the Global Privacy Policy and at relevant collection points.

• Access or receive a copy of eligible personal data.
• Correct inaccurate personal data.
• Delete eligible personal data.
• Receive eligible data in a portable format.
• Opt out of sale, qualifying sharing, targeted advertising, or qualifying profiling.
• Withdraw consent for processing that depends on consent.
• Appeal a denial where an appeal right applies.
• Exercise rights without unlawful discrimination.

Baroow requests consent before processing precise geolocation, biometric identifiers, health-sensitive information, or other sensitive data where consent is required. Optional sensitive data should not be submitted unless requested by an active and lawful feature.

Users may revoke device location permission at any time. Revocation does not affect processing already completed lawfully and may make a location-dependent feature unavailable.

Baroow does not sell personal data for money. Some advertising or measurement disclosures may be treated as a sale or sharing under a state law even where no money is exchanged. Where such activity is enabled and a law requires an opt-out, Baroow will provide the required control and honour legally recognised universal opt-out signals.

Non-essential advertising and cross-context tracking must not be represented as active unless the production consent and preference controls support the representation.

Submit a request to dpo@baroow.com. Baroow may take proportionate steps to authenticate the request and protect the account. Baroow responds within the period required by applicable law and explains any extension or denial.

If a request is denied, the response will include appeal instructions where required. An appeal may be submitted to appeals@baroow.com. Residents may also complain to their state attorney general or other competent regulator.

Baroow retains personal data only for the periods and purposes stated in the Global Privacy Policy. Financial or anti-money-laundering retention periods do not apply to a United States user who has not used an enabled financial feature.

Baroow uses reasonable administrative, technical, contractual, and organisational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data and risk. Breach notices will be provided to affected residents and regulators where required by applicable state or federal law.
