Nationwide legal coverage for United States users, separate from city or state service activation.
Version: 2026-07-29-global-1 · Last updated: July 29, 2026 · Effective for new users when accepted. Existing users receive any notice required by applicable law before a material change takes effect.
This United States Supplement applies to every person who accesses or uses Baroow from any of the fifty United States or the District of Columbia. It supplements the Global Terms and does not mean every Baroow service is offered in every state or city.
United States territories are covered only where Baroow expressly makes a service available there. Mandatory federal, state, and local rights that cannot lawfully be waived remain unaffected.
Property and job listings must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local fair housing, civil rights, equal employment, wage-disclosure, accessibility, licensing, and advertising laws. Protected characteristics and unlawful proxies must not be used to exclude, rank, target, discourage, or disadvantage people.
Baroow may remove, restrict, investigate, or report a listing that appears discriminatory, misleading, fraudulent, unauthorised, or otherwise unlawful.
Sellers must disclose whether they act as a private individual or in trade or business where that distinction is required. Sellers are responsible for title, authenticity, condition, product safety, recalls, licences, warnings, taxes, and compliance with applicable law.
Baroow may request identity, authority, business, or product-safety information where required by law or proportionate to platform risk. Any federal marketplace-verification duties that become applicable will be implemented before the relevant transaction thresholds or functionality are enabled.
Barbados law remains the default governing law under the Global Terms. This choice does not remove any non-waivable federal, state, or local consumer protection, privacy, civil rights, regulator complaint, small-claims, or other mandatory right.
Any arbitration provision applies only to the extent enforceable after considering the user’s location, the nature of the claim, required notice, assent, and non-waivable remedies. Users may seek relief from a regulator or court where the law preserves that right.
United States copyright notices and counter-notices are handled under the procedures in the Notice and Takedown Policy. Baroow maintains a repeat-infringer policy and acts expeditiously on valid notices.
The contact details published in Baroow’s United States Copyright Office designation, if a designation is required and active, control for formal DMCA service. General notices may be sent to legal@baroow.com.
